•    In accordance with Law No. 12 of 2022 regarding the establishment of the Egyptian Health Council and its executive regulations issued in October 2023, preparations are currently being made to hold a qualification test to practice the profession of pharmacy affiliated with the Egyptian Health Council in accordance with the law issued in this regard. 
•    The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Health Council formed a specialized committee to test qualifications to practice the pharmacy profession to set standards, procedures and rules for the tests that the Council holds after coordination with the authorities competent to grant licenses. The formed committee has the right to seek the assistance of experts to develop the scientific content of the test, as well as to create a bank of questions and experimental tests.

The qualification test to practice the profession of pharmacy (EMLE-Pharm) aims to ensure that graduates of colleges of the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt are truly qualified to begin practicing the profession of pharmacy, as well as to ensure that they have obtained appropriate training before obtaining a license to practice the profession in Egypt, and to verify that graduates of colleges of pharmacy meet Accredited to the minimum standards for practicing the profession.
Graduates of colleges of pharmacy will not be able to obtain a license to practice the profession in Egypt until they successfully pass the unified exam nationwide in a way that guarantees equality, justice, and equal opportunities.

- The applicant for the test must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from one of the Egyptian public, private, or private universities, or branches of international universities in Egypt accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities, or its equivalent from foreign universities, provided that it is equalized by the Supreme Council of Universities.

- The test taker must have successfully completed at least four training sessions (6 months) of mandatory training.
- The test taker’s data must be registered through the college’s compulsory training unit, provided that all data is sent approved by the college dean to the Egyptian Health Council.

- Registration to take the test is done for each role separately (each role is separate from the other), and previous registrations will not be taken into account in the event of not passing the test or not taking it.
-  The data is sent once by the college, provided that the data is reviewed by the test taker and the college’s mandatory training unit before being sent to the Egyptian Health Council. 
-  If any of the required data is sent incorrectly or inaccurately, the data will be re-sent in the next test round, provided that the data from the current round is excluded.

Student information is sent to the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, including the following information:

• The full name in Arabic according to the national ID card.
•  The name is quadruple in English.
• National number (14 numbers) or passport number for expatriates.
• University name.
• The total score.
• Email (it is preferable to use personal email, not university email).
• Mobile phone number. 
• Payment code. 
• Status code. 
• Franchise start date.

The test consists of 70 questions (MCQ) and must be completed in a time not exceeding two hours.  Tests are also prepared to include the following forms:
- MOCK EXAM: A test that is available to learn the form and style of the questions and how to deal with the website. Testing is available throughout the day where: The applicant can log in and try out at any time during the day, and the applicant is also allowed to try out more than once for one test.
- SIMULATION EXAM: A test that is available to the applicant to learn the form and style of the questions, and how to deal with the website in light of the time specified for the test, the test rules, and the various monitoring systems.
- The actual test (REAL EXAM): The basic test in which the applicant is held accountable for the grade he obtained in terms of: his success or failure to obtain a license to practice the profession. One round includes two actual tests (3 tests) and the applicant can pass one of them to pass, knowing that he is held accountable. The applicant has a score on the last test, and the test is passed without grades (Pass or Fail).

-   Entry is through a laptop or computer equipped with a camera (USB).
-    Ensure the quality and safety of the camera on the device used and that it is activated during entry and throughout the test period.
-    Sit alone in a place isolated from others throughout the test to ensure that the examinee is not subject to the test being cancelled.
-    It is preferable to take the test through the website at least 20 minutes before the test time.
-    It is strictly prohibited to open any browsers, websites, or use any other devices while taking the exam. If this is violated, the exam will be cancelled.
