09 April 2026 Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Health Council and the Royal College of Radiologists

In a strategic step aimed at upgrading the healthcare system and developing medical cadres, the Egyptian Health Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), in order to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of radiology, health systems development and continuing medical education.

The signing was based on the belief of both parties that good health is the key to the well-being of the population and the drive of development. This MoU aims to build bridges of common understanding and consolidate future relations to serve the health sector in Egypt, with a focus on training and professional development for workers in this vital specialty.

Under this agreement, the two parties are committed to implementing a package of scientific and technical activities and strategies, which include:

-International Participation: By inviting prominent speakers from the Egyptian cadres to participate in RCR Global conferences, enabling the exchange of experiences at an international level.

-Advanced Medical Education: By providing the opportunity to offer standard RCR Learning seminars, which are a global reference in training, through joint programs between the two parties.

-Knowledge Exchange: By collaborating in distributing RCR Global's newsletters and scientific reports to members of local associations, to ensure that Egyptian doctors are informed of the latest scientific findings in the field of radiology.

The officials also stressed during the signing ceremony that this cooperation will directly contribute to improving the accuracy of diagnosis and therapeutic services provided to citizens, by adopting international standards in medical training and education, which will reflect positively on the efficiency of medical staff within Egyptian hospitals.

This agreement comes within a series of international partnerships that the Egyptian Health Council seeks to conclude, in an effort to raise the efficiency of the Egyptian health system and keep pace with the rapid global developments in medical technology.
