Prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, participated in the annual conference of the Faculty of Nursing, Badr University, in the presence of Prof. Hassan Al -Qala, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Ashraf Al -Shehhi, President of the University, Prof. Naama Al -Qusayr, the representative of the former World Health Organization, a Dr. Scheherazade Ghazi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Badr University, Prof. Waseem Al -Sisi, Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, Captain of Nursing, and the journalist Ibrahim Al -Kurdani, and Mrs. Liura Bekat from France specializing in education and training.
His Excellency explained the role of the Egyptian Health Council in the professional development of health specializations, including the nursing specialty for those who hold a bachelor’s degree after their graduation, obtaining a license to practice the profession, and the training they receive during the internship period and after the internship through the scientific committees of the council for examinations for practicing the profession, and continuous professional development. Which will determine the number of credit hours that the graduate will obtain every five years to renew the license to practice the profession, as well as the guidelines that will help them in accurately describing the necessary procedures for cases, and this will contribute to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens.
