14 February 2024 Meeting of the Supreme Committee of the Egyptian Board on Wednesday, 14/02/2024

Professor Mohamed Mostafa Lotayef Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, met with the Supreme Committee of the Egyptian Board to discuss the work plan and draw a road map for setting the rules and regulations governing the granting of the Egyptian Board certificate. This was in the presence of Prof. Hossam Hosny, Secretary General of the Egyptian Health Council. Many proposals were discussed. To work on developing the Egyptian Board certificates and the possibility of introducing new specializations needed by the labor market inside and outside the Arab Republic of Egypt, and setting new rules for accrediting training centers and trainees, and rules for continuous follow-up to ensure that trainees obtain the required training in a way that allows them to enhance the leadership in practicing the human medicine profession inside and outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. Dear members, we nominate Professor Madiha Khattab, former dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, to head this committee.

In a strategic step to enhance the efficiency of the health system and develop the skills of doctors, the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians announced the opening of the Continuing Medical Education Center (SCOPE) in its new and advanced headquarters, after obtaining official accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council.
