30 July 2023 The signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Health Council and the General Authority for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Health Council headed by Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Lotayef and the General Authority for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar regarding contributing to unifying the work on issuing national guidelines. This protocol states:
- Approving the national guidelines issued by the Clinical Guidelines Center after reviewing them and ensuring that they comply with the agreed standards for writing the guidelines.
- Supporting the Clinical Guidelines Center with what is needed to audit and edit the evidence
- Displaying the approved guidelines on the digital platform of the Egyptian Health Council after its approval.
- Determine the Matareya Educational Training Center and other locations to be determined successively according to the potential need in the General Authority of Teaching Hospitals and Institutes to hold meetings of the clinical guidelines committees formed by the Egyptian Health Council in various specializations.
- Supervising the proposed specialized committees and training them on the methodology of scientific writing in cooperation with all concerned parties, including the World Health Organization.
-    Applying standards for writing guidelines and the commitment of all specialized committees to standardize the methodology of scientific writing in all disciplines.
-    Forming external review committees on drafts issued by specialized committees.
