13 May 2025 Signing a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Health Council and the Supreme Council for the Review of Clinical Medical Research Ethics

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Health Council, represented by Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Lotayef, and the Supreme Council for the Review of Clinical Medical Research Ethics, represented by Prof. Sherif Wadie, regarding achieving cooperation and coordination between the two parties in the exercise of some of the competencies held for each of them under the laws of their establishment.

The protocol aims to unify institutional efforts in controlling and reviewing clinical medical research, supporting the research environment with regulatory, guidance and ethical tools, ensuring that research is compatible with national and international laws and standards, and enhancing the efficiency of the medical education and training system by integrating scientific research ethics into accredited training programs, which enhances the credibility of research to improve health services provided to citizens.
