


Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population met with Prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, and members of the Supreme Committee of the Egyptian Board of the Egyptian Health Council; And that is at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Population in the administrative capital to add new specializations in the Egyptian Board of Dental program, in the presence of Prof. Khaled Abdel Karim Musharraf, General Committees in the Egyptian Board, Prof. Reem Emad, General Supervisor of Accreditation in the Egyptian Board, and Dr. Abdel Salam Shalaby, Director General of the General Administration of Human Medicine in the Egyptian Health Council, along with the members of the Supreme Committee of the Dental Board headed by Prof. Tariq Salah.
His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the pivotal role of the Egyptian Board in providing integrated training programs, which combines the academic and applied side, with the aim of providing doctors with scientific efficiency and clinical and technical skills necessary to keep pace with the latest developments in the medical field, where new specializations such as oral medicine, gum treatment and dental treatment are added to the Egyptian Board programs, in a move aimed at raising the level of vocational training for dentists, and achieving a qualitative shift in the Ministry of Dentistry within the Ministry Health and Population.
The meeting also discussed the adoption of some dental centers in the governorates as training centers for the Egyptian board program, where the minister directed the formation of a committee headed by Professor Prof. Mohamed Lotayef, to examine these centers and ensure that they meet the training standards, including the available capabilities of medical devices and equipment, to ensure that the largest number of trainees in various specializations are absorbed.
His Excellency the Minister also called on the members of the Supreme Committee of the Egyptian Board to visit a number of hospitals, including the Capital Insurance Hospital, the Nasser Institute Hospital, Agouza Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Specialist Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital, and New Cairo Hospital, to consider the possibility of approving them as training centers for the Egyptian Board Program, stressing the harness of all available capabilities in the dental centers in the governorates to support doctors and raise their professional competencies.
