Prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president, Egyptian Health Council, participated in the annual conference of Badr University, in the presence of Prof. Hassan Al-Qala, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof. Ashraf Al-Shehi, President, University, Pro. Hussein Khaled, Chairman of the Medical Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, and the Minister Former higher education: Prof. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head, Medical Syndicate, Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, former president of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ahmed Makhlouf, Dean, Faculty of Medicine at Badr University, Prof. Salah Salam, professor of obstetrics and gynecology, Prof. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim, deputy President of Assiut University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
His Excellency explained the role of the Egyptian Health Council in the professional development of doctors who hold a bachelor’s degree in medicine after they graduate and obtain a license to practice the profession and the training, they obtain in the internship period and after internship through the scientific committees of the council for examinations for practicing the profession and continuing professional development, which will approve a number of credit hours. Which the graduate will obtain every five years to renew the license to practice the profession, as well as guidelines that will help the doctor in accurately prescribing the necessary treatment for cases, and this will contribute to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens.

In a strategic step to enhance the efficiency of the health system and develop the skills of doctors, the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians announced the opening of the Continuing Medical Education Center (SCOPE) in its new and advanced headquarters, after obtaining official accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council.
