27 February 2024 Annual Rare Diseases Conference

Professor Mohamed Lotayef Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, participated in the annual conference on rare diseases that was held at the Princess Fatima Academy for Medical Education. He shed light on the role of the Egyptian Health Council, its specializations, and the role it plays in coordination between the various authorities concerned with registering diseases and epidemics. His Excellency referred to the meeting. Which was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Health and Population, Professor Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, to coordinate the establishment of national medical records for diseases and epidemics with all health authorities concerned in this regard. Prof. Sahar Farag, Director General of the Princess Fatima Academy for Medical Education, Prof. Azza Abdel, participated in the conference. Al-Jawad Tantawi, Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Dr. Magda Rakha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Hemorrhage Patients Association, Dr. Nevin Soliman, Chairman of the Scientific Committee for the Egyptian Genome.

In a strategic step to enhance the efficiency of the health system and develop the skills of doctors, the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians announced the opening of the Continuing Medical Education Center (SCOPE) in its new and advanced headquarters, after obtaining official accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council.
